Hiking Arizona
Arizona boasts thousands of excellent places to hike. Often, good hiking spots are within a few minutes of many homes.
Novice hikers (and experienced ones) need to
keep in mind the harsh conditions of the desert require additional care
and extra preparations.
Temperatures can drastically change within a
few hours of sundown. Summer requires additional water and planning
hikes around peak hot periods. Carry a cell phone on your hike and check
to make sure you have service in case of emergency.
