Fountain Hills' fountain

Fountain Hills, Arizona is another upscale residential area in the Phoenix area that has lots of amenities worth noting, including the world's highest shooting fountain.

This man-made fountain is Arizona's answer to Old Faithful. It shoots water 560 feet into the air every hour on the hour for 30 minutes from 10 am until 9 pm daily.

The fountain is located in the center of a large residential area and is surrounded by a large, grassy park with picnic tables. Located right off the park is a small plaza of botiques, convenient for shopping, but on the expensive side.

Fountain Hills, Arizona is 18 miles northwest of Scottsdale. Just as all parts of Phoenix are expanding with influxes of families, Fountain Hills is seeing a boom in housing construction.

Tolleson Arizona is a town in transition, moving from farming to urban. Carefree and Cave Creek are small outdoors- man communities with lots of trails, hiking and horseback riding.

About 10 minutes north of Fountain Hills, AZ. is Fort McDowell Indian Reservation. Many Phoenicians make the drive to Fort McDowell to visit the casinos and bingo halls.
