New gallery added to
The Wyatt Earp home

The owners of the newly restored historic house announced the opening of the gallery at The Wyatt Earp House & Gallery, LLC, in Tombstone, Arizona.

The Gallery, located in the Wyatt Earp House, offers an eclectic collection of western and southwestern art, featuring several Arizonan artists.

Local Tucsonans', Jim Allen, love for history attracted him to the yearlong project of restoring the house. After pouring over several historical documents and some early photographs of the area, Jim proceeded to restore the house to its original size and appearance.

Owners Jim and Liz Allen wanted the home open to the public without having to charge an admission fee.

The home near the world-famous Boot Hill Cemetery -- where Wyatt Earp was reported living when he, his brothers and Doc Holiday, squared off against the cowboys at the OK Corral, is now the home for the art of 16 Arizonan artists.

Two hundred to two hundred and fIfty people attended the grand opening to the gallery on October the 15, 2005.
